Is social distancing leaving you feeling down, lonely, bored, or cooped up?

Introducting jamani duo Sidewalk Concerts!

We're bringing the music to you - at a safe distance!  We are booking
mini-concerts that are social-distancing-approved.  For a suggested donation
of $35, we will come to your home, set up on your sidewalk, and play 15
minutes of music.  Come out on the front step or open up your window - and
tell your neighbours to do the same!

In November, the jamani duo visited Hugh Sutherland School in Carstairs,
Alberta for a couple of days. We did a performance, introducing the students
to a bunch of our favourite percussion instruments from around the world
(and the flute!), and we also had the chance to teach hands-on drumming to
several classes. We had a blast, and judging from some of the comments
we've gotten, so did they!

Here are just a few of our favourite student comments.  For the rest, and to

jamani hands on! 2017 Cancelled
We're very disappointed to announce that jamani hands on! has been
cancelled for 2017.  We look forward to bringing this program, including
the new camps which were announced this year, back to Sundre for
Summer 2018.

Unfortunately, due to fundamental differences and a breach of contract by
our primary sponsor (Greenwood Neighbourhood Place), we had to make
the difficult decision to postpone the camp until 2018.  Anyone who has
already registered will be contacted by GNP and offered a
full refund.

If you have already registered for the camp, or if you have any questions or
concerns, please contact us at or 403-593-1691.

We're very sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience, and we hope
to see you at
jamani hands on! 2018.
A couple of weeks ago, jamani had a chance to spend a few days with
students at Menno Simons Christian School in Calgary.  The students had a
great time learning Taiko drumming and a couple of steel band tunes, and
they got to show off what they learned in an evening music concert!

Thank you for inviting us to your school, and thank you for these kind words:

"Thank you so much for all your work! It was fantastic and the kids LOVED
your concert! I heard such great feedback from parents, staff, and kids.
Super excited for our next adventure!!! We will be in contact about next
year :D"

Here are some kind words from Bente Hansen, who invited us to perform
for the University of Lethbridge's Music @ Noon concert series last October:
"The jamani duo offers a wide spectrum of music, combining a number of
different ethnic percussive styles with jaunts into the classical and jazzy
side of things.  The inclusion of the flute just expands their repertoire
and offers the audieance a variety of pieces.  The talent found in this duo
is astounding as both members are accomplished musicians with an
undeniable connection to each other, resulting in exciting and sparkling
performances.  Don't miss this dynamic duo!!!"
